Installation Guide
- Download the latest Dungeon Helper 4 release below, and install it. There are no prerequisites that must be installed first. If you have a previous version (DH 3 or earlier) installed, make sure to completely uninstall it and remove existing plugin folders before continuing.
- Dungeon Helper now comes with 5 plugins pre-installed and ready to use:
- As of version 4, Dungeon Helper must be launched as an Administrator.
- As a reminder, you must run DDO in a Windowed mode, and Dungeon Helper only supports the 64-bit client.
- Dungeon Helper MUST be running before you start DDO for the first time after installation.
Major Changes in Dungeon Helper 4
First off, Dungeon Helper 4 was nearly a full rewrite of Dungeon Helper 3, and a lot has changed internally. Externally, the old plugins you knew and loved are still here and even more awesome than before. While in beta, we’re using the beta release of the SDK.
Dungeon Helper 4 also uses the most recent dotnet platform, dotnet 8. Our apologies for the large download, but we package dotnet 8 in with Dungeon Helper so you don’t have to fight with the dotnet installers any more.
Starting in Dungeon Helper 4.1, there is an option to submit usage statistics. By default, this is turned on. We do not collect any identifying information. It collects the following:
- Version of Dungeon Helper and the companion dll
- Version of the DDO client
- What Plugins you have enabled
- What Server your are launching
